A Letter from Jenny

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We did it! Together, we’ve navigated through the exciting whirlwind of the first week of school. It’s been an eventful journey of new and familiar faces, new routines, and big emotions. It’s completely natural for your child to have experienced a mix of feelings during these initial days as they acquaint themselves with their new environment. We are happy to share that each child found comfort in the presence of educators and classmates alike, setting a heartwarming tone for the days ahead.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to you for remembering to use the ProCare app for sign in/out. The “goodbye plan” you’ve embraced through the kissing window has played a vital role in providing the stability and predictability that your children need when adapting to fresh transitions.

Drop off and Pick up

We appreciate your prompt arrivals at drop-off time before 9:00 AM. For our morning program, we kindly request your arrival between 2:00 PM and 2:15 PM. Additionally, please ensure you arrive to pick up your little ones no later than 5:15 PM during gator pick-up times. We appreciate your cooperation!

The effort you’ve put into labeling your child’s belongings has not gone unnoticed. With the abundance of items that accompany each child, these labels help us tremendously.

As we continue to navigate these first few weeks together, we appreciate your patience and understanding. The development of new routines requires time and adjustment, and we’re committed to making this journey as smooth as possible.

Big Feelings

You may notice that your child seems more tired and sometimes grouchy at the end of the day. The blend of play, learning, and social interactions can be quite exhausting, both for them and for us educators. Having a protein-rich snack ready or revisiting their lunchbox during pick-up time can be a helpful solution. You are their safe people, and being grouchy or tearful with you is their way of communicating to you that they have been working hard on their social skills all day! Remember, it’s all part of the process, and with time, things will feel more comfortable.

Building Community

Our classrooms are transforming into close-knit communities, with each passing day. We hope you’re enjoying the frequent love notes and photos shared through ProCare, giving you a glimpse into your child’s experiences.

For further updates from your child’s educators, please read on. Meanwhile, we wish you a wonderful weekend ahead!

With warmth and gratitude,

Jenny and Jeri
